the media has started to cover the pro Gaddafi demonstrations and are rather grudgingly admitting "they appear to be genuine".
Yet the majority of dim, dumb, moronic observers here still seem convinced that the whole of Libya wants Gaddafi out.
I'm no fan of Gaddafi, from what I've heard (from the unreliable and untrustworthy media) he's a fairly brutal dictator; but he has doubtless done much good work in Libya and is loved by many there. Who are we - most of us have never been there, don't live there, don't know anyone there - not only to criticise but to pay for the slaughter of innocent Libyans as we spout slogans and pretend to care for two minutes a day (it's entertainment for us)?
And my god, at last a BBC reporter in Libya has said "of course these human shields for Gaddafi are genuine, spontaneous and not organised" and it seems some intelligent UK RAF commander has stopped an attack. How giant is the step that now says - there are some Libyans who want Gaddafi to stay? And the next step - "therefore we should not be interfering and backing one side against the other"?
