there is this lingering thing in the human psyche that Mars was there before us. Did we fuck up the red planet a billion years ago ?

Capitalism is doomed for failure- we are seeing it's end days. Not because it is such a bad system but because it is open to so much corruption.

Bertrand Russel said it all 60 years- capitalism would become like socialism and visa versa.

Except today's capitalism is becoming a corporate socialist state !
