The fine art of moderating a decent board 14 Years ago
We encourage sensible and articulate debate and we remove personal insults and offensive comments whether they be about individuals or in general; of course, those doing some insulting howl that others have not been censored (they have but, naturally, you don't see the censored comments).

And we try to stop debate disintegrating into name calling and puerile idiocy. Sometimes we even stop it simply because it gets boring (how many times can one bear a ... Gadaffi's right... no he's wrong ... argument?).

Some, deeply offended, flounce off (we tend to remove the flouncing too; who cares?).

Others simply adapt accordingly without complaining.

Goodness me there are so many other forums to go to if you want to rant and squeal and hiss and boo.

The delightful (and dangerous) wealth of the Internet.

I think yesterday alone there were at least five comments specifically suggesting that I was a paedophile, two of which were made by somebody who has stated openly on numerous occasions that he has a rightful conviction for sexual abuse. My comments referring to that fact, however, get not only deleted, but the words altered giving scope for misinterpretation.

If I'd seen any post saying Blackit or anyone else was a Paedophile I would have deleted it. I'm not aware of any specific convictions on any of the posters other than myself and cannot remember any specific descriptions of them - only generalities.

I've looked at yesterdays posts and I can't see the five times it was specifically suggested you are a paedophile.

Twice by one poster plus three other occasions ???

Some, clearly, are given license to wind people up, and some are not. It's an old pals' act in this sense.

As for the 'boring' 'he's right/he's wrong' threads - well, YOU start most of them, JK, and then your chum veritas keeps others going by being knowingly contrary, so I can't see why you moan about others in this context.

Sometimes those debating get carried away with the flow of things.Other times some band together to remove a troll by trolling the troll.
Oh for he fun of moderating us boarders
We do love you JK,even if we never fully appreciate all the necessary work you do behind the scenes

Author - GeminiUK and/or whatever other names you use

Who do you think you are telling people to stop posting about particular subjects?

Are you now the new moderator on this board?

I take time to make comments in this forum, you may not like them, you may think they are boring but I thought I had the right to make them.
