May I put in words the sentiment I believe 99.9% of the world feels about the Middle East? 18 Years, 9 Months ago
We don't care about religion and land.
We don't care about the Nazi excuse "you kidnapped two soldiers - we will kill hundreds of innocent citizens until they are returned".
We don't care about Israelis, Hisbollah, Democracy (which clearly doesn't work anyway)...
We just want people to stop killing people.
Is that too much to ask?
Yo Blair...

The only people who can stop the killing are the people doing the killing. It's not up to Blair, Bush or any other outsiders. If a ceasefire is imposed from outside, this will only delay matters. Hisbollah, Hamas and Israel must each acknowledge the other's right to co-exist. Until such time there will always be some kind of conflict between them.

I echo JK's comments, and to Al (who said "The only people who can stop the killing are the people doing the killing") I would say those who supply the weapons are equally culpable.
To Rusty <<< Is anyone else secretly supportive of the fight that Hezbollah are putting up, should we feel guilty? >>>
Absolutely not ! The whole world wants to see these bullies reigned in. Their "vision" of the Middle East is a range of powerless states in permanent civil war (as they have managed to make Iraq).
No wonder Iran wants nukes - would you want to live in that region if you were unable to defend yourself?
Would Lebanon now be in ruins if it had nukes?
