Back in the day Radio One played Joe le Taxi, claiming that it was actually in English with a bad accent, reading out what they thought she was actually singing.
And 20 years on, I've taken it to the next level by reinterpreting the lyrics of this chinese pop song in English and making a basic animated video for it. 900 views in 24 hours on youtube, with comments such as:
"omg....that is the funniest thing ever"
"Yeah! This is hilarious"
"I think it's great!!! XDD Very funny"
"dude.. this is like the funniest thing i've ever seen"
"this stinks"
"retard"
"omg I want to punch you in the face"
(I removed the last two comments.) Some obsessive fans of the singer have been going through all my videos rating them as 1/5 as they hate what I've done, so I'd be gratefull for a few 5/5s
Re:I think it's absolutely brilliant Nathan and intend to approach you to do a similar video to a track of mine please 18 Years, 9 Months ago
It`s fantastic Nath.
Somebody out there give this man a lot of money for his work NOW!!
Failing that, I will translate it all into a very obscure language and give the proceeds to the Save the Walrus fund, or in this case the Chinny Hill Benevlolent society for Misheard Violent Footballers, who say sorry later.
Very, very good use of Flash and wit in the video.
Just watch the hit counter wiz round on this one mate.

I don't find the Wishmaster one nearly as funny as it's just a case of misheard lyrics which is somehow far less funny than the Chinese interpretation.

Agreed, but Nathan's one was a little too quick (not that it's your fault Nathan, although a slower song/less lyrics may have been better?), my wife gave up trying to watch it. I probably had more patience since I knew who had done it.
Thats very true Kev, I've since realised that the lyrics should appear slightly befor the action, it needs at least a couple of views to notice everything.

cracking job Nathan and well done. Really funny and imaginative. Would love you to do some work (yes paid) towards the end of this year on a forthcoming single. Up for it?
