New series just started.
Really funny, absurd comedy largely based around splicing up radio programmes and putting them back together in a surreal way. Some good scriptwriting too.
It's a joy. Does anyone else here watch it?
Here's the latest episode:

I do {and I'll bet you're not surprised!}. I've been trying to find the first three series, but so far no luck. Other comedy favourites include Ed Reardon, Clare In The Community, Bleak Expectations and Cabin Pressure. Plus {it goes without saying} The News Quiz and The Now Show {pity Brigstocke's too busy for it these days}.
You can download two of the other series here:

It's good stuff. I've gone off the News Quiz ever since they relied on comedians (with names like Jeremy) who want to show how frighteningly radical they are (and, in Brigstock's case, make anti-American 'jokes' so ill-informed and boneheadedly silly he'd be accused of xenophobia if the target was any other country). They forget to be funny; the show needs a journalist to hold it together. I prefer these days an American version called 'Wait Wait Don't Tell Me' on NPR - wittier without any tiresome posturing.
