Shirley Williams on Question Time 13 Years, 5 Months ago
My God I hope I'm as astute and with it as she is when I reach her age.

My Dad was a senior civil servant and had several illustrious bosses, and there are 2 he still speaks highly of- Shirley Williams and Ken Clarke. Their politics were different but they both treated their staff with great respect.

Nowadays I shop at the same branch of Morrisons as Ken Clarke, we were even feeling buns next to each other at the bakery not long ago (no pun intended... actually pun intended)
