Agreed. I never used to like him, but he's getting better with age. His documentary on George Formby was brilliant, as well as his radio 4 comedy "Don't Start" about arguing.
I think it's an inspired 'tweaking' of the format. The old version was stuck if you hated the single guest. Now it is quite tolerable. A pity most of the choices are so dull, but it's much more watchable.
Frank Skinner popped up on BBC 2 last night...Opinionated I believe. Got bored so thought ''I'll switch over to something different on BBC 1'...it was Frank Skinner!! Repeat of Room 101. Has he taken over the beeb?
Don't think he has but does look like that sometimes, I used to adore Skinner when was a young stand up but over the years he has become a bore. Fantasy Football League would of been good light TV if he didn't have David Baddiel next to him it seemed that Skinner did most of the work same as Baddiel and Skinner Unscripted.
David Baddiel on Question Time a huge no no, can't find no clip but if you watched it he so out of his depth.
Frank Skinner is taking over the "regular guest" role on That Sunday Night Show from next week - replacing Ross Noble, who was firing on all six last night. Some weeks the show is very funny, other weeks it's flat. The concept is good, but still some tweeking required. In fact, I wonder if the main problem is that it's a topical show but recorded on friday evening to go out on Sunday night. I wonder if it should be recorded just a couple of hours before being broadcast?
