I would have thought on here, of all places, that kangaroo court of a 'three man tribunal' that branded Suarez guilty purely on the 'balance of probabilities' (which amounted to no more than one man's word against another's), would have been condemned. The stupid handshake ritual shouldn't have happened (as it didn't when John Terry was involved) but I don't blame Suarez at all for refusing to shake the hand of a liar. That ghastly leaping around at the end by Evra ( a man whose previous attempt to get Chelsea groundstaff branded racists was thrown out of court) was far worse. The media coverage was sickening.
(For those not familiar with the case: Suarez, a man who can barely speak English, was summoned to recall details of an incident that happened several months before. It was deemed his recollections were 'unreliable' because of their vagueness and minor inaccuracies. Then Evra was summoned, but before he spoke a large TV was wheeled in and the incident was replayed repeatedly in slow motion whilst he 'recollected' what happened. His testimony was deemed to be much more reliable because of its remarkable accuracy. Really, this scandalous FA tribunal makes most law courts seem competant. It stinks, and yet the football writers, keen to push an anti-racism campaign, have seized on it so eagerly they simply will not entertain even the possibility that the case is corrupt. THAT is why Dalglish, a decent man, has fought all of this humbug. I cannot believe on here, in this forum, with all that people know about so many other cases, this merciless witchhunt would be rubberstamped as legitimate.)
