TOPIC: Very good BAFTAs

Very good BAFTAs 13 Years, 5 Months ago
Delighted Gary Oldman did NOT win Best (NON in his case) Actor and clearly The Artist guy DID deserve it (though for me Brendan Gleeson in The Guard was best). Streep? No contest (though Viola Davis gave the best 5 minutes performance this century in Doubt). Best film? For me it was between Hugo and The Artist and I'd go for Hugo but it wasn't even in the final 5 and of course The Artist won.

Martin Scorsese was The Fellowship winner and brought Hugo with him...

If you haven't seen it, do please watch Hugo in 3D. You've never seen 3D until you see it.

John Hurt was terribly nervous, but a stirring standing ovation.

The Artist will sweep all of the Oscars. Clooney might get best actor.

And please watch The Guard. One of last years best films that went under the radar. A true laugh out loud movie.
