Why on earth do gay people, condemned as sinners and cast down into hell by all churches, want to be embraced by the mad people running those religions?

Once you accept the belief espoused by religion (constructed in order to give the brain dead a morality system when they can't create individual ones) you enter into a world whose foundations are built on sand. Why do people want to be different - but the same?

The Buddhist organisation I belong to performs Civil Partnerships at our national centre, but then we don't discriminate against anyone, it just isn't an issue. In Buddhism everyone is equal. That's not some flower-powery concept, it's reality and also a courageous stance.

(we are secular, don't have a priesthood, don't wear robes, aren't all vegetarian... it's all very down to earth).

Yes David Buddhism makes great sense - because it's NOT a religion; it's a philosophy.
