TOPIC: Cassius Clay

Cassius Clay 12 Years, 12 Months ago
Oh dear, to all of us who remember Mr Ali in his prime, the grim reaper has taken his toll as old age has really kicked in; it's the bottom of his face that has sagged so sadly. Parkinsons is a dreadful disease isn't it? I'm told the mind remains as sharp as ever.

I agree, JK - am I wrong to say he should not be paraded about in his current health state?

Let us remember him as he was.

ITK - do your well known views (frequently posted here) on disabled people not apply to Mr Ali?

What views?

You are writing your own script again !!!

I said that to consider disabled people as "athletes" was utterly absurd - which it is. Nothing more.

Why not check out the definition of athlete?

To say that people with physical problems cannot be athletes is so wrong - a very sad and ignorant view .....

Germany had a similar way of looking at 'imperfect people' in the 30's/40's.

The World said they were wrong.
