Are there only 3 actors in Britain? 12 Years, 10 Months ago
I watch New Tricks... Ruth from Spooks. Then I watch A Mother's Son on ITV+1 and there's Ruth again... and the other Spooks girl playing the mother. And the husband is Doc Martin. And there he is, in the commercial break, talking to a dog...

That's why they're called 'Luvvies'.
Traditionally with a majority of showbiz workers & performers scraping by under some BIG so called 'stars', the whole precarious incestuous thespian-meeja 24/7 overkill is now one big desperate LOVE-IN.
Recently it was noted that the tired-farce (se)X-Factor had just Eight minutes of performers, the rest woz the desperado Luvvies Self-Luvvin Up A Storm.
At least in the good-old-days pre-Lurve generation on the road in the steady grind of Rep a young Luvvie might get to be a lucky-Luvvie with a crusty old landlady's lusty daughter or son - depending on which side of the road one drove.

My Tuesday night TV consisted of a documentary about the 1970’s series “The Sweeny”, and the final part of “Accused”.
Firstly, I vote Accused as being the best British Drama of 2012. (Not that I’m totally qualified as I don’t watch THAT much TV!!). But the final show neatly followed on from part 3, (though they can be watched individually). Superb script and acting. Wasn’t the lead girl, (can’t remember who it was) great last night?
The Sweeny documentary was very informative. Having not watched the original show since the 1980s, (probably first airing and first re-runs), it was interesting to see interviews with the original crew and surviving cast. The claim it was the “quality show” of the 1970s. I can’t argue with that.
