TOPIC: JK in the Guardian again
#88309
JK in the Guardian again 12 Years, 9 Months ago
Yes, even the dear old Grauniad manages to squeeze a passing mention in for me.

Amusingly my favourite paper was factually the least accurate coverage of my wrongful conviction. I got the giggles in 2001, in Belmarsh, spotting all the mistakes.

As opposed to the Mail - the best but nastiest paper in Britain.

All sadly though deservedly dying, of course. I don't think they see the Grim Reaper, a bit like grazing gazelles ignoring the ravenous lions.

Any idea JK when decades old autobiographies became "News"?

As for Desmonds 2nd division shitrag, replace the word "DJs" with "Newspapers" and I think it's a bit more realistic

Do you think this puritanical hand-wringing over sexual antics in the 60s and 70s is an attack on the BBC, or an attack on a bygone era that culturally and musically will outshine anything that could possibly happen in the 21st Century, to try and sell us all 'new shite'? We must reproduce, produce and sell sell sell - so if we demonise an entire era in culture, nobody will realise how shite things are now?
And then dumbo parents can froth at the mouth about Jimmy Savile doing something long before they themselves were born whilst letting their underage daughters patrol town centres in shorts that are so 'short' their fannies are hanging out & cheapo "just-fucked slut-look" hair extensions, as seen in every town and city in the UK right now? Way to go!!

Hang on, aren't the press in a lot of trouble themselves at the moment? You know, phone hacking missing school girls, bungs to Police Officers, computer crime. I wonder if paedophilia is going to be unmasked next? I wonder what Paul Dacre would say?

There is an awful lot of bad news from which the public's gaze must be diverted right now and things will get worse so creating hysteria about what might have happened years ago is a furrow that can be ploughed pretty much ad nauseum.

Why do you think the phrase "quantitative easing" was invented? Because it means nothing to about 90% of the British population who are having the value of anything they own and their pensions, wage packets inflated away. Not a big problem if you have a £30 mill trust fund to inherit but when you live payday to payday, it's an issue
