I'm so shocked at the current state of politics.

The media talking about some posh bloke who called a couple of PCs, who have no doubt heard much worse, plebs and it's still going on. What the hell is this burying in the news?

Labour being utterly useless, with no real ideas to get peoples imaginations and too many of those associated with the last administration still pulling the strings. Even Blair realised you have to cut the cords to restart the party. I still maintain that Labour wanted to lose the last election because they wanted some other party to take the bullet on both their mistakes and the world financial woes. As it turned out, they have put 2 parties in it!

The Lib Dems will always be associated with this discredited bunch in power at the moment and their hopes for the 2015 election (if they last till then) are probably terminal. I can see no way back for them.

I think I'm tired hence the rant but honestly just about every pillar of this country is being hacked down, from the media to the government. What the hell are we going to be left with? Sky BBC? Sky Gas? Rupert Murdoch as the country's benevolent leader? No taxes, but you have to pay £99 a month for free Sky TV otherwise you are shipped to Australia? I keep on having images of Blade Runner. So prescient.

The last election was spiked by Sky creating the "bigotgate" issue. It was a Sky mic, which Brown thought was off (tampered with?) and BBC guidelines forbade the use of material gathered in such a way but Sky broke the story.

I also wondered though if it was the election anyone wanted to win.

I like Gordon Brown. He never joined JP Morgan once he left power!!!

Why?
Politicians have always put themselves first - its in their own best interests to do so. It is - to them - a job (and one with no long term career prospects unless you play your cards right).
Think others were any better? Gladstone? Pitt the Younger? Lloyd George?

Things are not so bad ... the Greeks, Portuguese, Spanish, Italians, Irish (etc) would ALL change places tomorrow !
