TOPIC: Gary McKinnon saved

Gary McKinnon saved 12 Years, 9 Months ago
Which is good news for common sense and decency but bad news that this proves the media (in this case The Mail) runs the country. Home Secretary bows to tabloid pressure.

Dominic Casciani (BBC Home affairs correspondent) -

Babar Ahmad's campaign welcome the Mr McKinnon decision. But they accuse the government of "double standards".

They ask: "Why within the space of two weeks a British citizen with Aspergers accused of computer related-activity is not extradited, while two other British citizens, one with Aspergers, engaged in computer related-activity are extradited?"

People with this syndrome are as different as you and me - and can be guilty, or not, of a crime. Just the prescence of the syndrome gives no indication, either way. Each case has to be viewed independently and can take time.

Delighted for Mr Mckinnon and even more delighted to see Alan Johnson make an utter tit of himself yet again. Two faced bastard!
