..no apology is enough.
I have not experienced reporting threats of violence before to the police, but I will share this tale with you, from a couple of years back.
I arrived home early in the morning from work and stupidly, did not inload my equipment. It was stolen.
I reported this to the police, who said that the best thing I could do was to spread the word amongst shops etc, which I did.( all my stuff had my name sprayed on it)
Only four hours later, I had a hushed phone call from a music shop informing me that a man was in the shop, trying to sell my equipment, and that he would keep him in the shop as long as possible, should I want to confront him. I could not drive over as the damage to my car was so severe it had been towed away.
I rang the police, told them my things had been recovered, and they also suggested I drive over!(create a crime or what!)
I informed them that the thief was in the shop now, and got this epic reply.....
"We need more to go on than that sir.."
I will point out that I recieved a full written apology for this.
Who are we supposed to shout help to?
