Meanwhile dozens of police get involved examining whether a pervy DJ groped approved school girls in the 60s. And police are still not finding that poor missing Welsh girl. I know where I'd like my tax monies to be spent.

you left out the great Science Fiction writer Arthur C.Clarke accused like Kelly and in the same location.

Yet his long time partner, now 70 years old is spending up big (with his Clarke inheritance ) on houses in Australia for his extended family, daughters and sons, whose many children Fleet Street seized upon as "evidence" that the poor disabled and paralysed (from the waist down) man had filled his house with children.

Thus a happy family home filled with laughing children and their numerous pets was transformed into the compound of an evil pedophile, by tabloid ahcks aided by a few "child protection" experts.

perhaps a certain ex-copper "expert" can turn his attention upon the late Knight of The Realm..he is dead so cannot answer back.

Great point Hedda; perhaps that nice ex News of the World hack based in Bangkok who helped "expose" Gary Glitter could get onto this in order to justify his frequent mentions during the Leveson Inquiry?

oddly he no longer advertises the News of The World that was once posted proudly at the top of his website.

weird synchroncity....on his website he has a piece promoting his role in the Gary Glitter story but inadvertently admits he entered both Cambodia and Vietnam by lying to immigration that he was a tourist when he was actually working for a British tabloid.

Plus bribing officials and so on to get the tale which all par for the course, unless of course you live there.

I've always thought this hack walks a very very very dangerous path in Asia. He endlessly, like so many ex-pat Brits writes about corruption in Thai police and calls parts of Thailand 'sleazy' and basically like large brothels.

All this may be true but he in true British imperial form he totally misunderstands Thai culture where many things occur below the surface which to Western eyes may appear odd and wrong but are tolerated in an Asian way in that society is seen as a whole which operates with many seperates entities, some good, some bad.

And I've always predicted, and my moles now confirm : that an open critic of Thai life in all it's forms is a critic of the Thai Royal Family. You insult Thailand : you insult the Monarch and that is never ever done.
