TOPIC: Vote for your Police Chief!

Vote for your Police Chief! 12 Years, 8 Months ago
Because this could be the start of Personal Accountability for individual police.

It's taken me 12 years to get that against the police involved in my prosecution but it's happening (see other threads).

Hillsborough is coming through.

Milly Dowler is only beginning (as the top lawyer just texted me).

It is essential.

Unfortunately no one in my area, knows any of the Police that are standing for Commisioner. So, they can't even be bothered to vote. Could be one of the lowest turn outs ever, I fear.

The vast majority of candidates are NOT police but outsiders - but unfortunately the majority are party-political candidates

Yes; sadly I don't think there's any real public interest but the good thing is... it doesn't matter WHO gets elected; they will be known and accountable - as will those underneath them.

It's the start of not just being "the police made a mistake" but "DC Jones made a mistake".

I've told everyone - always take notes of every officer's name and number whenever you run into them.

The average turn-out seems to be around 15% ... very disappointing.

I wonder if some people should even be allowed a vote?

In one ballot box (in loony Labour Doncaster - not the "brightest" place on earth) there were only 5 votes in total !

The REAL problem with democracy is that the unthinking (and barely literate) are also given the same voting right as, say, Richard Branson (who employs thousands of people and generates huge income for the contry).

I often wonder why many people are allowed to vote. The amount of nutters, idiots & ignorant people I meet on buses, trains & walking around each day is quite unbelievable.

Then we wonder why the country is such a mess!

I think I'd rather have ficticious people like Arthur Daley & Terry McCann in charge...A bit dodgy, but their principals are good.

Indeed, bh

Just think ... all those people who want more (for themselves / the NHS / the scroungers) can NEVER actually explain where the money should be coming from - or which benefit to cut to "fund" their new spending spree !

Perhaps they should elect Paul Daniels !

Hey Presto !!!!!

Apparently there have been large numbers of "spoilt" ballot papers, many with comments such as "dont politicise the police" written on them.

I wonder how many of these were spoilt by police officers who do not like the idea of independent scrutiny?

We are starting to see the results !

3 PCC's stop G4S (remember those tossers?) getting their hands on your data !

(Sorry, Steve, if you are in Lincolnshire - they've already got their hands on yours !)
