What really annoys me, is the run of the mill people (that never seen to go to work) manage to buy big display fireworks & then let them off in their back garden. This should be outlawed. When I was a kid, we'd just have those tiny boxes of Standard fireworks & they didn't make a sound.

We live on a hill with a fantastic view of the city. Sat with my 2 little girls inside by the French doors, glass of vino in hand and some homemade popcorn. We loved it.

The problem is there's a whole generation of witless parents now who don't understand the concept of a specific day for these things. First of all they've been dragging their kids around for Halloween every night last week, and then they've been organising firework displays since last Friday. God help their kids.

Yeah, but some of those Fireworks are not used for Halloween or Bonfire Night celebrations. Isn't there a certain sect of the multi-culture of the UK, having celebrations for the end of a period in their calendar? This is why Fireworks go on, for like 3 weeks & not just 2 or 3 days.
