Freudian slip? Check the difference between the www headline (missing the short word NOT) and the actual piece... they just can't control themselves!

the original enquiry will be branded as a 'cover-up' despite residents being encouraged to report abuse to police if it happened off the grounds of the homes. Odd that none did.

Richard Webster may be better off out of it..he'd probably be accused as being part of the "abuse lobby".

These people are trying for a second bite after losing out first time and there are reams of lawyers to aid them.

At some point the government is going to realise that the compensation available will be never ending and could break the bank. I hope all those rate payers appreciate their taxes will be paying for compo when local councils are sued.

There will come a point where no sane person will work in social services or care homes, councils will refuse to fund them and so on.

Inded compensation claims, could well be never ending. And as if by magic, another dead man is thrown in for good measure.

Though I doubt it will break the bank. The Government always find money to bail out, other countries & the like. Now if they actually put that money into this country's services, well we'd have the best Health Service in the world, the best Councils in the world & eveything else, probably. But we don't have any of these, because Corruption Rules OK. Great title for a book, that.

Corrupt members of the General Public, Corrupt reporters, corrupt Police, corrupt Politicians, corrupt Hospital workers, corrupt celebrities, corrupt delinquents, corrupt Councils, corrupt immigrants, corrupt teachers. Oh, the list is endless. It equals "A Corrupt Country". Who do you believe? Well, you can't believe anyone. So, just get out & live, give it your best shot & do what you want, without following any rules. As the rules, are about as corrupt, as the people, that made them. It's all one big con.

Business is a big con. A big department store, has a giant sale (about once a month it seems). A set of saucepans at £150, suddenly becomes £50 in the sale. The shop only bought the damn things for £40, in the first place. So, you'll still being ripped off in a transaction of make. Shame on the fella, that paid £150, for something only worth £40. Ah, I went to the manufacturer & got the same set, for just £20. I knew a bloke, that worked there, see! Sounds familiar, ay. Now I don't wonder why I do must of my Christmas shopping at Primark & the Pound Shop!

2013 -

Foreign Aid - 12 Billion (0.7% of GDP)
NHS Budget - 125.9 Billion
Interest (on Labour's debt) - 44.8 Billion (almost the same as Defence spending at 46.3 Billion) - BUT we have to pay the debt interest EVERY year till its paid off.

Haven't the Coalition done well, reducing Labour's debt by 25% already, with the majority due to be eradicated by the next election?
