Listening as i speak and it is very similar to Savile's Travels, Ray talks between records from an outside location.

1540 (TheVop) is the station he voicetracks on today. Though it's hardly like Savile's Travels. He uses snippets, from his holidays etc, when he chats to people that's the closest it gets to Savile's Travels. A big part of the show is rapped around music, chosen by computer.

I'd hazard a guess the arrest is because someone's taking advantage of the fact, that he knew JS very well (& infact was trained as a DJ by Jimmy) & trying to cash in, one way or another. Guess that was bound to happen. Terrible world. More dodgy historic allegations & a third party involved too. Wonder when this alleged rape incident actually happened? Could even be the 1960s.
