Lord McAlpine is getting sympathetic coverage; there are hundreds who get similarly wrongly accused (I follow all the tiny news reports of people convicted of fake claims). But how about the thousands whose miscarriages of justice are NEVER corrected; whose lives are ruined; who spend years in prison because the liars dare not face the punishment that comes with admitting the truth?

as we saw with Elmo, a person who has brought delight and joy to hundreds of thousands was on the brink of having his lifetime's work destroyed by just one false allegation.
It will haunt for the rest of his life.

The media , Tosspot, Gambo and all those on the bandwagon have painted a picture of Jimmy Savile as some evil weirdo mastermind who stared out of the television mesmerizing the population of England.

It's sheer utter bullshit : he was a hugely popular TV personality who wore colourful clothes (like everybody else in bloody show-biz)who entertained and stayed employed a lifetime because the public wanted him and enjoyed his act.

The media is re-writing popular history because it sells newspapers.

Savile's family and former lovers are forced to denounce him or face the wrath of the media. Bit like Nazi Germany.

And if Jimmy Savile was alive and one of the false accusers had, like Steven Messham and the Elmo man, admitted their mistake and withdrawn the allegation, would Savile now be getting the same sympathetic coverage McAlpine is getting?
