Still True On Gaza, St Galloway Pulverises Parliament '09 12 Years, 8 Months ago
" Tragically now bent-mainstream muted, Britain's true mid-east expert, George Galloway's powerful speech in the Commons debate on Gaza, Thu 15 Jan 2009 (5.30pm). Highlighting the hypocrisy and brazen double-standards of Western foreign policy towards Israel policies, including assassinations and other war crimes."

I greatly admire Galloway.

I accidently 'liked' the Israeli defense Forces page and now I'm getting all their weird posts threatening retribution on Palestinians along with nice pics of male soldiers holding hands etc.

very weird. A little creepy.

So do I .... its very rae for a politician to actually say what he thinks (rather than the party line).

I'm sure politics would be of greater interest to the mainstream public if we had nmore individuals.

They have STILL never explained why Arial Sharon has not been allowed to die and is STILL wired up to some kind of machine.

Be honest, you had no idea what that word meant before George used it, did you? And when he said it to Saddam he was referring to the Iraqi people in general.

Er, yes, I did. It's not difficult. But it's interesting you should assume, just because someone disagrees with you, that they don't even understand simple words. You sound like an old-fashioned Fabian - a starch-collared mass of contempt.

Indi should be more 'indi'-minded, and bravely peer beyond childish bent-mainstream cliches for clots.

Longest serving Brit M.P. 'Father Of The House' Tam Dalyell:

" The only person that I recall denouncing Saddam Hussein in the 1980s was George Galloway, when the UK & US were both backing the tyrant."

Leading CONservative Scots' paper, The Scotsman' 19 May 2003:

" He can restate the facts till he’s hoarse...it makes no difference: he continues to provoke a mixture of schoolboy envy and disgust in certain quarters.

It’s a British reflex with a pedigree stretching back to medieval anti-clericalism: those who profess high ideals must be exposed as motivated by the grossest materialism. Sex or money or, better still, both.

Thousands of words have been written about Galloway and Iraq, but the facts bear repetition. His demonstrations against the regime in the late 1970s. His repeated denunciations of the dictator. "
