Lawyers for the music promoter claimed a crime writer with the Irish edition of the Sun, Joanne McElgunn, met Watters in a hotel on 15 June, bought him dinner and offered him a sum of money on behalf of the newspaper if he agreed to make a complaint to police about being assaulted by Walsh.

It is also alleged the journalist travelled with Watters to Pearse Street Garda station so he could make the agreed complaint against Mr Walsh, and that Watters was paid 700 euro (£565) and promised further payments after the story was printed.

Good for him.

Glad he's won, but I really truly don't like Louis Walsh. Something about him. Sorry.

Indeed, Hedda-tas.

In the post above, I didn't say just 'good for him' - I said 'good for him I don't even think he is gay', which is a perfectly valid thing to say about a man accused of a sexual offence against another man. It's the exact opposite of an accusation or an implication, unlike the original allegation.

I'm surprised and saddened that Mr. King sees fit to edit benign contributions to the board...maybe it's time to close it down rather than to render it meaningless with vanilla flavouring.

Being gay was neither here nor there; he was falsely accused. We don't carry opinions about sexuality here. It's not time to close this Forum down but I suggest you take your opinions elsewhere.
