After GG made his fateful trip to PC World and was awaiting the court case, Waxy "assisted" a woman to make a complaint to the police that the Bacofoil Berk had a relationship with her when she was 14 - the problem was Waxy had brokered a deal for her with those nice chaps at the News Of The World that she would get a major payday IF he was convicted of that offence, and this was dult uncovered by the defence and both MC & the NOTW found themselves in trouble with the courts and duly humiliated. Of course, Mr Gadd was convicted - and served his time - for the computer offences, but THAT is why those bodies were so keen to hunt GG around the globe until they chased him somewhere they could get what they wanted - an underage molestation conviction.
But also wasn't there something similar with the Vietnam incident? I believe a News Of The World person, also bribed a reporter in Vietnam area, to get GG & hand him over...So, he was practically set up, again. Though this time, he did get put away for it.
Obviously his biggest mistake was going to Vietnam.
Though I don't agree with the slamming of the "Pedo" word being slammed on him. As we know. Paedophlia, is mainly attributed to those that sexually assault young kids, in the under 11 bracket.
Then, we have the so called Radio Presenters, that will not play his records anymore. A idiot on Radio Caroline had a request to play one of his records, last Tuesday...To which the presenter said "We don't play Gary Glitter, for obvious reasons". What a bloody stupid statement, that was. Working in Radio (myself) I was always led to believe that presenters, were not supposed to judge or push their own opinions.
In my experience on not playing his records, you get just as many complaints about not playing him, as much as you do, if you do.
Then if we look at his childhood (which hasn't really been covered by the media) we get a kid of 10 years old, that spent 6 years in a care home, as his mother couldn't cope with him & he never even knew his father. In my opinion, I was always led to believe that GG was a bit backward (due to his childhood & he kept running away from school). Overall he probably had a harder childhood, than Michael Jackson, is apparently said to have.
If GG was/is oversexed, then really this country, should be looking into ways that will treat such properly & not banish them to some daft prison, that will not do a thing to help & will poison the public's minds, as has happened in the never to be proven Jimmy Savile stuff & the amount of false allegations included in the percentage they were going on about yesterday, which didn't compute, with the number of those that have apparently come forward...They kept going on about 80% were female & either under 16, or young adults. Never (however) did they mention those, that conveniently had forgotten, how old they really were, when these "events" had supposed to have taken place. Given the fact that when things, were one word against another, nothing could be proved either way & so fore, should be discarded.
re GG in Vietnam..the stringer who claims he uncovered the story boasted on his website of how he and a photographer lied to Vietnamese Immigration to enter looking for GG. (now removed as was his proud banner boasting he was a News Of The World contributor)
Others have pointed out : GG was living happily in Cuba with a woman until hounded from there by a very vindictive NoTW. In fact hounded wherever he went until he settled in Vietnam.
Does NoTW share blame if assaults were true ?.
Also very important : not a soul has come forward in all these years : from the UK, Vietnam, Cambodia or Cuba making similar claims about GG which does give merit to claims by GG he was set-up.
Except of course the recent claims by Tosspot but I believe (if we believe Raccoon) that claimant could end up in trouble herself . (and if GG not charged by now..doubtful he will be)
