This seems to be unravelling by the minute -
"A police officer's claim that he witnessed a row outside Downing Street involving ex-chief whip Andrew Mitchell is being probed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
It said it was " considering the validity of the officer's claim", which he apparently made to his local MP.
The police constable was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office on Saturday

Plebgate - policeman posed as member of public? 12 Years, 7 Months ago
|

PLEBGATE - A Number 10 (SPOKESMAN?) has said the claims, which emerged after a member of the diplomatic protection squad was arrested, are "exceptionally serious".
A spokesman said: "Any allegations that a serving police officer posed as a member of the public and fabricated evidence against a Cabinet Minister are exceptionally serious.
"It is therefore essential that the police get to the bottom of this as a matter of urgency."

Not satisifed with "fitting-up" people over the years the police now (apparently) like to manufacture evidence if non exists.
Anyone else remember the furore cause by the Police Federation when someone challenged the honestly of the policeman that they were defending?
This will be very interesting .....

The phrase "stitch-up" is starting to be used.

It will be very interesting to see the Police Federation's involvement in all this ... they were very active at the time (in pushing the police "version") but now seem to be distancing themselves from the whole thing -
"John Tully, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, which represents officers in the force, said: "The Metropolitan Police Federation unequivocally and categorically refutes any allegation that it was part of a conspiracy to unseat a cabinet minister."

Meanwhile, the Police Federation of England and Wales, which represents rank and file officers, is to set up an independent review of its structure because of "issues around the way it is able to lead and coordinate".
It has been criticised for pursuing a political agenda in its criticism of Mr Mitchell.
BBC political correspondent Robin Brant said it appeared the federation was conceding involvement of some of its officers in what looked like an "anti-Mitchell" campaign had damaged its reputation and trust.

ITK referred to police having, "damaged their reputation and trust".
For millions of young and old streetwise and gay Brits, that ongoing damage occurred at least 65 years ago.
With bent-Greater Manchester homophobe cops, bent-Ulster anti catholic cops, bent-West Midlands Serious Crime Squad, bent-Met Flying Squad, and bent Met Vice Squad - leading to 'The Fall of Scotland Yard' for starters.
Thousands of stitched-up Irish, Gays, Blacks, Asians, a Brazilian, a Pop Mogul, and a top politician later - it's all changed.
Now it's even worse!

"concerned about the welfare of the officers involved" ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12 Years, 6 Months ago
|
|
The Metropolitan Police commissioner has temporarily returned from his Christmas holiday to deal with concerns raised by the "plebgate" affair.
Scotland Yard said Bernard Hogan-Howe had concerns over the welfare of the officers involved in the row.

If ever there was a statement which showed just how out-of-touch these people are - then that is it !!!
No "concern" for the victim.
No "concern" for the generral public.
Just "concern" for his officers (who have been caught bang-to-rights !!!!)
