Is that IT??? That's the great Mandelson story I've been hearing so much about? What a let down! Even my Mandelson story is better than that. It starts with me going to see him with the aim of discussing his late grandfather Herbert Morrison and ends with the two of us soaked to the skin, he clutching a sodden copy of Rogue Herries by Hugh Walpole and me cradling a stuffed Yorkshire terrier in my arms. THAT'S a story! If I ever get around to publishing an e-book it will be told in its entirety. Now pull your socks up, man, if you wear any (which I suspect you don't) and get some better anecdotes!

Well Quentin, purchase the Kindle and you'll see the story is much longer and far funnier.

I'm supposed to be able to 'borrow' it via Amazon Prime, but it doesn't work. I could, it is true, buy it, but for all I know you could follow this up with "Another Three Months," "And Another" and "One Week in Oswestry". The list could go on and on. I don't want all of that cluttering up my Kindle. I've got Henry James on there!
