Absolutely loving Last Tango in Halifax 12 Years, 7 Months ago  
Really well scripted, beautiful acting right across the board, full of surprises; in a way I'm sorry tomorrow night is the last but it's such gripping stuff.

Intelligent, funny, clever - probably my favourite British show of the year (the others were all Danish and Italian)... mind you, Midwife and Downton were splendid too.

Spoilt a tiny bit by Ronni Ancona's dreadful acting.

Funnily enough I thought the minor characters were terrific - Ronni's bizarre drunk scene; the odd husband and the youngest son discovering his Mum's lesbianism; I think the script, acting and direction are all magnificent, multi faceted and delicious.

It was one of the worst drunk acts I've ever seen. Painfully out of place among good performances.
