Good to hear - police accountability 12 Years, 6 Months ago
I predicted ages ago that the police cuts, plus growing mistrust, and the new police commissioners would make individuals more accountable and there would be less "covering up"

A RECORD number of police officers were fired for misconduct last year with almost 150 allegations being made a day.

The Home Office revealed that 178 officers were shown the door last year, up 13 per cent on two years ago.

Last year’s tally included 80 complaints of sexual assault, 1,195 of discriminatory behaviour, 370 for corruption and almost 9,236 for rudeness.

The biggest category of complaints is for failure of duty, which now accounts for more than 25 per cent of all allegations.

The Metropolitan force fired 51 officers, more than any other force and more than double the number sacked two years ago.
