It's always been the great fear; my Mum, who looked after many old people in her life who suffered from Alzheimers, dreaded going senile and fortunately never did. But it's a fear we all have and Linda expressed it very well today.

I've watched (fortunately not blood) relatives go senile and it's quite shocking- for those who aren't.

There was an extraordinary interview with Poirot actor David Suchet who had to put his beloved wife in a home when she was deteriorating rapidly but they sometimes have moments of clearness as she did- and demanded to know why he didn't buy her a return train ticket on the journey to the home !

Is it hereditary ?..fortunately both my parents had all their wits into their 80s..well accept for the time my father saw dancing mice ontop his wardrobe, but that was the DTs.

explains why I am still a brilliant thinker put on this planet to question horrendous mean Tories like IT..well you know who.
