Amazingly inaccurate. Liberals and then Lib Dems have always had polices. Part of the problem has been the policies weren't realistic enough. But the main reason why the Libs declined as a power was that, when Labour emerged, part of their base was destroyed, with business opting for the Tories and the workers opting for Labour, leaving the Liberals with no stable electoral foundation. Stick to football and your hatred of Merseyside.
