anyone remember Thalidomide ? 12 Years, 4 Months ago
Is this next ? Poisonous frog juice?

Dermorphin is used to dope racehorses enabling them to run while they are badly injured

A potent painkiller made from the poison of jungle frogs is believed to have entered the food chain in contaminated horse meat, it has today been revealed.

The drug - dermorphin - is used to drug racehorses, enabling them to run while they are badly injured.

It is believed that the 'tree frog juice' has found its way on to the market via American horse meat, the Humane Society International has warned, despite a ban on the use of medicines in animals which will be sold for meat.

the subject has just come up on:
The Death Of The Life of Jimmy Savile.

It seems that yet another who jumped on the "I knew Savile was a pedo" bandwagon Roger Jones, who claimed he refused to allow him to be involved with Children In Need had a murky background in Thalidomide :
" "I was never convinced that it was a classic teratogen ((a drug causing physical defects in a foetus)"

A reply about Jones from Christopher Lingard, Legal Adviser,Thalidomide Action Group :

"Unfortunately, since the Seventies, the level of the settlement has proved inadequate. Perhaps as Mr Jones and the other pharmaceutical companies rake in their profits, they will reflect on the fight that the British victims are still waging for realistic compensation."

as wise old Hedda always says : those in the business of "child protection" are the ones who should come under the microscope.

ITK makes a habit of waffling on about things he hasn't a clue about...nothing new there.

Just open your eyes (not your mouth !), Emma !

If you want to eat meat ... go ahead ... but dont blame me when your arms start dropping off !!!

They say meat (esp British meat) is safe ... makes you wonder where foot and mouth / BSE / Listeria / Salmonella / E-Coli / Mad Cow disease / Uncle Tom Cobbly etc all came from then doesnt it ?
