Rolls Royce vs. St*rb*cks ?

Rolls Royce make something you can touch, they design and make it in Britain and employed a skilled workforce to do it, promoting a British world respected brand. Market leading technology in action

St*rb*cks sell an imported coffee product that they roast in the Netherlands under a brand that comes from Seattle, US of A. They sell from shops and employ shop staff, I'd guess many of them being part-time and student jobs

Not saying anything, just making the comparison of two businesses in the UK

as usual your "one size fits all" blinkered view ignores the Devil in the Detail.

On one hand you mercilessly berate those you perceive to be 'scroungers' and welfare recipients yet praise the Rolls Royce Derby factory which is in reality a sheltered work-shop propped up by other taxpayers in the bizarre belief that subsidising someone for a job not needed (and won't be in a few years as Rolls Royce is going entirely off shore) and getting a fraction back in payroll/personal taxes is preferable to shareholders not paying a penny.

But as someone says in another thread , hypocrisy is not a crime.

No mention of course of the hundreds of thousands of jobs lost in the UK in the once great British auto manufacturing industry by "outsourcing" and the great scam of "globalisation" but of course you would simplify that to being Red Robbo's fault.
