Weekend health thread; I've had an awful cold all week... 12 Years, 4 Months ago

It started last Sunday with a slight sore throat. Worse all night; could hardly speak Monday. Chest packed with phlegm. Monday night bad; Tuesday; throat a bit better but a cough and sinuses starting to snuffle. Wednesday; sneezing, blocked up; couldn't breathe but chest improving; Thursday reached its peak; Thursday night - first decent night's sleep; much better Friday yesterday; today, Saturday, about 80% better.

Surely 'health' not 'heath' the old late 'grate' grinning sailor Tory tart ?

Top Cold-Flu Tip: twice daily dosing up with Ibruprofen 400-800mg usually does it here, and for a good night's (not yet knight's) kip.

Quite right; illness already has quite enough L's in it! Topic heading corrected. Ibuprofen made my stomach bleed in my last months in HMP and I had to spend the night in Maidstone Hospital, not something I recommend! I have a home made lemsip by taking an anti-histamine, paracetemol and then a whole lemon and loads of manuka honey in hot water. Same ingredients but larger quantities and much more effective.
