It was terribly well cast (with some wonderful British actors in quite minor parts), beautifully written (quite different from both movies) and wonderfully filmed.

I actually loved the second film (Eliot Gould/Cybil Shepherd with Ian Carmichael and Arthur Lowe) which was unusual - covering a Hitchcock movie - so this is the THIRD successful rendition.
