Original Michael Rennie film of course (haven't seen the remake)... not only a superb sci fi classic with early effects and wooden sets but a great point; as our tiny world reaches obliteration (global warming, shellfish dying, bees disappearing) it's time we started thinking of the future.

I often regard humanity as a small anthill; a colony of miniature creatures in this massive universe and our daily decisions, though crucial to us, mean virtually nothing in the giant scheme of things.

The restored Blu Ray edition of the original movie is a real treat.

The remake is a computer generated turkey.
