Top Of The Pops 12 Years, 3 Months ago

One of the most popular shows ever made at BBC Television Centre, creating special memories for generations of both stars & viewers, was not supposed to be mentioned on last Fridays "celebration" of the BBC's £1600million move from the iconic TVC.
Noel Edmonds - brought in to talk about Swap Shop and his various Saturday Evening atrocites - wasn't having it and neither was Danny Baker, who went up in my estimation with what he said about the stupid TVC move, The Old Grey Whistle Test, Top Of The Pops and the idiotic decisions made by the bean counters to wipe hundreds of shows, weren't having that though, even though the 42-year legendary Elephant In The Room was "forbidden".
"The much maligned - and WE DON'T WANT TO GET IN TO THE WHOLE TOP OF THE POPS THING RIGHT NOW - the fact that came from here, Top Of The Pops meant so much to so many people"
All for what? A piss-poor documentary full of conjecture and lies, made by a charlatan former DC for the trash commercial network about a dead man who died untainted and unconvicted of any wrongdoing.
They are out to destroy the past - and they are doing as good a job of wiping the minds of your average numpty in the street as the BBC did on all those pre-76 Top Of The Pops recordings.
