Thank you David. The situation was rather forced upon me, as you'll guess. Knowing full well record shops would no longer stock me and cinemas would not show my films, I had to resort to the new technology.
But part of it was the discovery that you could now not only make your own music at no cost in your bedroom but could also film on professional cameras in High Definition digital quality that would look as good on giant screens as those made by the big budget boys.
Originally Vile Pervert: The Musical was intended to be a one off; simply putting my side of the story across to anyone interested in hearing it. But I loved making it so much that I decided to make a movie with proper actors, a script, locations and humour... and Me Me Me was born.
That went down so well with (mainly the under 25s it was aimed at) those who saw it that I decided to try for a third; a combination of both previous films, taking the use of music along the same road...
So Ladies and Gentlemen I present... The Pink Marble Egg... screening at the Cannes Film Festival in May, available for home viewing now on...
