ITK on Mick Philpott? 12 Years, 3 Months ago
Sure ITK has something interesting to add now the verdict has been given. And of course as we all know the jury always gets it right

from all I've read about what was said by the convicted in phone taps etc. I see nothing that actually conferred guilt upon them or could be seen as a confession.

Perhaps the other evidence, forensic and so on was strong but the media only presents the most sensational stuff.

Much of the way it was presented didn't make sense. Witnesses said that the Philpotts had made no effort to save the children and showed no remorse afterwards, implying they wanted the children dead, yet the charge was not murder.
I dont think it is unusual to have no tears and to carry on as normal after a death, and not many of us have experienced the loss of six in one go.

I find it a bit odd that contributors on this site seem to think that everyone is always innocent and the cops/courts always get it wrong

There are, apparently, only (ONLY !) about 180 "Philpott" families in the UK - 10 or more kids and living on the system. (This will include the ones I highlighted last month, like the mother of 11 whoe keeps a horse on OUR money, or the one who lives in a £2 million mansion at OUR expense).

But there are thousands and thousands with 4, 5 or 6 kids etc.

They are all guilty of the same crime.
They are all producing kids that they cannot house, feed or clothe, and milking a system, purely for financial gain themselves.

Someone who steal 3 items is just as much a thief as someone who steals 10 items - its all just a matter of degree.

Some of the families will be "blended" I expect,or will be on benefits due to unforeseen circumstances.
I am sure most of us dont have children until we can afford to adequately house, care for and educate them.
How could have a good lifestyle on benefits though, unless the children go without?

In this case I think the reverse.
I cant see how the manslaughter charge makes sense. If it was accidental why did they deliberately make no effort to save the children, and lie about it?

As for the savile farce,Because the allegations started with (proven) lies it discredits all the following claims, and some of them are simply ludicrous.
