Richard Akland, an ex-lawyer, is a columnist in Australia who reports on legal matters. He should know the law.

Now he perpetuates the myth, accepted by so many, that the claims about Jimmy Savile are being "investigating by 17 police forces"..yet they are not. It's the claims that surround Savile that are being looked at.

They get the most simple and obvious things wrong. Why ?

the courageous victim must always be believed.

Girl who claimed she was gang raped made story up, police confirm

"Police investigating an apparent gang rape in Sydney's northern suburbs have found that the incident did not occur.
A 17-year-old girl told police that she was abducted from Merindah Street in Baulkham Hills after leaving a house party in the early hours of March 3."
