I'm watching the old BBC series again (BBC4 Tuesdays 10pm; I'd forgotten Brian Blessed played Augustus - very well too). It is so good. An incredible scene where Sian Phillips as Livia talks to the corpse of Augustus for several minutes as the camera stays on the dead man's face.
