It is increasingly amazing & very strange (if not coincidentsl) that a case about to tumble, suddenly brings up another accusiation.
And (as been said before) in the Gary Glitter stuff. If Mr Glitter was such a perverted bloke (as made out to be) how come nobody (other than the NOTW set ups) has pointed the finger at him, in this country, in a more bigger scale? Girls used to hang around outside his house to look at him in the 73/74 period...but none have actually brought up any abuse stories. Which tells me, what a load of old baloney it really is. The only apparent thing about him is that he never came across as being that clever in the brain department.
The Vietnam thing looked like a set up and anything involving Karin Ward can be discounted, but he did admit to owning hard core child pornography, didn't he?
the fairly light sentence would indicate it wasn't in the worst category.
It's subjective though...some things are legal in the US that are not in the UK and remember...Page 3 girls.
I dont know of any society that allows the molestation of toddlers, and he was in England at the time.
The photos were of small children being sexually attacked and he admitted to owning them, not only in his defence but on his release.
I cant find the clip but I think he said that he deeply regretted his actions.
BBC news article about the conviction.....
