He will find it's virtually impossible to prove - as I did - that he didn't commit those crimes. Nearly all the false allegations against me we managed to prove false (including the ones in the second trial at which I was totally acquitted). Max - like many others - has always said "you must believe the accusers".

If he's innocent, I hope he's acquitted. And - like Jimmy Savile and many others - he IS innocent (the law - as opposed to the media - says innocent until or unless proven guilty).

If he's guilty of sexually assaulting 14 year olds - he deserves the 7 years he'll probably get... and may be able, in the peace and quiet of his Belmarsh cell, to consider similar allegations he has encouraged and backed and promoted (and profited from) in the past.

He looked very flustered and a bit scruffy when he read the statement out. He could do with a good publicist to take charge.
I feel very sorry for him. If there is anything worse than being wrongly accused it must be knowing that you have brought it on yourself.

It ought to teach him a few lessons, but it just seems so obviously a set up, especially in the context of all the other suspicious cases going on just now, Freddie Starr, Stuart Hall etc, that it amazes me that more people don't seem to be pointing that out.

The police would have a right to be suspicious and more questioning of accusations made under these circumstances (and in your case too), for the simple reason the way they've come about and in such a number after so many years all at once is without a doubt highly suspicious.

Obviously someone is encouraging these allegations, and if there have never been any before this, my guess is they are trivial at best or complete lies at worst. This is not an impressive method of catching people for sex crimes or any other crimes - it's stupid...

It's a giant rampaging beast and I predicted on here before the hacking scandal that some dramatic events would bring down some tabloids...not that you need to be that clever (although Hedda is)...but so much unfettered power wielded in so indiscriminately and carelessly is bound to end in tears.

I think he could possibly find safety in numbers i.e if a lot of others are complaining of being stitched up and most of their allegations appear to be false too.

Unless serious, and if it was serious why didn't she ever go to the police before about it, how can someone remember with any accuracy a brief one off even from 1966 or say they are sure it happened the way they are now claiming it happened?
