TOPIC: Well done UKIP

Well done UKIP 12 Years, 2 Months ago
If I still voted I'd probably have voted for them; whilst they are directly opposite to my thoughts (I'm so pro European I think we should join the Euro NOW and should have been in it since the start plus I think our borders should be totally open) I so dislike all the other parties I'd have protested by voting for a bunch of loonies who are at least individuals.

Oh yes; basically the results (as in many mid term elections) say voters hate all the old parties.

Trouble is, of course, the novelty of protest votes for UKIP will wear off by the next general election which will have, I predict, the lowest turnout ever.

Its a much better night for the Tories than I anticipated.

So far (only 7 of 34 Councils declared) - the Tories have lost 2 - to No Overall Control.

It looks like a complete disaster for the Loonies !
If they can't make any significant inroads mid-term then dont stand a chance.

UKIP will disappear before the next election (you never hear of BNP any more, do you?)

I am surprised that anyone has voted Tory while the benefits system is in a muddle. Obviously most people dont mind it after all.

UKIP seems very popular around here (north of Liverpool) especially with the young ones.

I can't believe Farage is still in his 40s. He looks about 60. And sounds about 80.

Correct - the majority are IN FAVOUR of a clampdown on the scroungers.

Labour's vote share is up by seven percentage points compared with 2009, according to polling expert John Curtice. But it is still five points lower than it was in 2005, he adds.

Given that 2009 was the LOWEST EVER point in electoral history for the Loonies they are NOT doing well at all !

Many seats won by the Tories in 2009 were never really Tory areas - they just bounced to us as Labour support hit rock bottom. We expected to lose many of them - but alot seem to be staying.

There is ... the Tories are not funded by the Unions (who still seem to think they have some power !)

Correct. They are funded by mates of cabinet members, virtually all of whom are (multi) millionaires and - as such - totally out of touch with reality.

Seems the BNP got twice as many votes as the Looney Liberals in South Shields!

Lady Dorothy MacBeth Brookes (BNP): 711 (2.87%, -3.65%)
Hugh Annand (Liberal Democrat): 352 (1.42%, -12.79%)
er
But the good news is they at least beat The Monster Raving Loonies

Glad you're back ITK,without you the forum has no entertainer

... and as such, finance virtually ALL projects in Britain and keep millions in jobs - whereas the Loonies (and their Union friends) have destroyed millions of (car / steel / coal / engineering etc) jobs over the years.

It's called private enterprise.

Glad you're back ITK,

The bottom line is simply this ....

UKIP do not have a single Member of Parliament !

and in most places where they won Council seats they only got a few hundred votes - which will be wiped into insignificance when the majority turn out to vote at a General election!

Thank you ITK for that.

Admitting that rich Tories finance everything - as well as running the goverment/cabinet/country.

But, not perhaps, for much longer......

(how many millions do you need to be involved?)

So what?

Not long ago - about 100 years - the Labour Party had none.

But the Tories/Whigs are around for centuries - because of two things: Wealth and Priviledge.

The makeup of the current cabinet says it all. In terms of background, networth/old money, connections, education, clubs, spouses etc. etc.

Not much chance of an Obama here!

ITK is correct but only because he/she has learned to mimic the intellect and greatness of Hedda.

They are a mere diversion that excites newspapers and gets the hearts and pulses of moribund reporters racing as though the Ark has been discovered.

They will be gone and dusted in a short enough time. The stranglehold of the 2 Tory parties : Labour & Conservatives, and their media supporters cannot be challenged.

Even Oswald Mosely was popular once and second hand car dealers have their supporters.

## the lady with the blonde hair and suntan is a serious worry.

... yes, its also THEIR taxes that pay Labour's dole scroungers ... without their finance there would be nothing ... a desert devoid of life !

But, not perhaps, for much longer......

... err, even in the mid-term blues - remind me who won MOST Council seats LOL !!!!!
