Much though we all love conspiracy theories and would love to believe that "the worst paedophile in history" had all Yorkshire police in his pocket, the reality is - as now revealed in the report on his Friday morning police meetings - it never was a cover up.

What the police DARE NOT SAY is that there ARE no victims. Savile remains innocent until or unless proven guilty. He's dead. There never will be a court case. We must by law regard him as innocent.

Police don't like this (they prefer the "guilty whether or not they are found innocent" morality; it improves targets).

How much money (our money) has been spent on these investigations? All pointless. Soon we'll have to close hospitals and shut schools in order to pay for it all.

This whole mad thing is becoming an almighty shamozzle.

It occurred to me : some very unexpected nasty things have happened in my life..I've had the support of friends etc and buckled up and got on with life and found positivity in all experiences.

But I cannot speak for those who were repeatedly abused, sexual and otherwise. I'm sure for many it must set them up for failure. It always angers me that so-called 'experts' continue to harp on that "their lives have been destroyed", Surely we want to help anyone who has had a rough trot.....therefore :

Shouldn't we be examining why 540 plus people never spoke up about Savile's alleged abuse ?....or as one copper said..it could 12000 or 1500 nay, the entire country who was groomed by Savile ?????

are there not lessons to be learned so it doesn't happen in the future ???

should not the great expert Mark Williams-Thomas be proclaiming he wants every case of alleged abuse examined in the minutest detail so that the triumph and greatest gift of MWT's career could lead to the the end of abused children (and his career).....and he go and drive a cab or something ???

We do it with every other crime..better security in banks and cars and credit cards and so .
