Watching horrid John Reid, dragged from a cupboard dripping mothballs to spout cliches on BBC Brekkie News, I shudder at the way they waffle on, truism after truism, with no serious feeling about anything. Just the usual "our forces are wonderful" and "our thoughts and prayers..."
That ghastly superficiality, primped and polished by kissing babies to get votes, removes them from all reality. No wonder they all obey the tabloid headline slogan morality that rules us.
