It ties in with the attempts to make 'possession of porn' some sort of 'proof of guilt' in any crime, particularly any of a 'sexual' nature. Hence the 'removal' of DVD's when they raid some old aged pensioner accused of brushing a grown woman's left thigh in 1958.
