Police Accountability - it's starting... 12 Years ago
Parliament report on Police Ethics suggests docking pensions and a Sarah's Law type list for lazy, incompetent or corrupt individuals in the police force. As more and more get found out - hurrah! I've said it before; this will be the big major change in society this year; long overdue.

Not really. They beat a passerby to death in London (Ian Tomlinson), the culprit isn't even arrested. They falsely accuse a minister of state, it's a national scandal. The police are fine just as long as they get in line and do what they're told by the powerful.

I think the Police Commissioners will make a difference, Jim - the police are starting to get very cautious in case they get the sack !

I share JK's hopes but not his enthusiasm.

I think they may be beyond control.

Thanks ITK,

Good to have your view, but without meaning to be rude.."[citation required]".

It will be interesting to see if PC now prosecuted following 'unlawful killing' verdict

It will. Normally in prima facie cases of murder it is not interesting to see whether the suspect is prosecuted.

Indeed, Jim

As I said earlier, the police are really starting to worry that they are now accountable (for going round killing people in a frenzy of violence).

It's starting to affect their morale (apparently) -

all the fun has gone out of the job !!!!
