Most of us predicted all this and feel very unhappy to be proved right.
I say it again; Democracy does not work; the majority of the public are idiots.

The road was never going to be easy .... you cannot go from one extreme (repression) to the other (freedom) overnight. It took out democracy about 1000 years to evolve.

The army control shows this "revolution" never went far enough in the first place.

I wonder what will happen now that the USA will pull ALL funding for the Egyptian army?

The US says it is delaying the delivery of four F-16 fighter jets to Egypt amid unrest following the army's overthrow of Mohammed Morsi as president.

Pentagon spokesman George Little said the decision was made "given the current situation in Egypt".

The US is examining whether Mr Morsi's removal was a coup, which would trigger a legal requirement to cut off aid.
